Most ACA events have a thematic focus. This is also the case with ACA’s flagship European Policy Seminar What’s new in Brussels? But the ‘theme’ is somewhat differently defined. It is simply what is new in European policies and programmes. The big news item for the community of international educators is the future Erasmus Programme (2021-2027). What’s new in Brussels? will zoom in on the future Erasmus, but it will also present news and novelties from the present incarnation of Erasmus.

Target audience and format
This seminar addresses primarily staff from higher education institutions (HEIs) specialised on the international dimension. Next to heads and staff of international relations offices, these can be vice-rectors for internationalisation or for teaching and learning, for example, or faculty deans. But the event is also for stakeholder organisations from the academic sector, government and international organisations, like OECD, UNESCO or the Council of Europe, to name but some examples.
The bigger part of the seminar will be a plenary event. But there will be parallel sessions of a workshop character in the afternoon, on inclusion and on sustainability, respectively.

Cancellation fees:
Cancellation until 10 January 2020 (including): no fee.
Cancellation from 11 January until 17 January 2020 (including) : 50% of the seminar fee.
Cancellation after 18 January 2020: 100% of the seminar fee.
The seminar participation is transferable to another person. Please inform the ACA Secretariat in this case.

Participants who register and do not attend the seminar will be charged the full fee.


How to get to the venue – FONDATION UNIVERSITAIRE
  • Arriving by public transport: the University Foundation is located just between two underground stations (Troon/Trône and Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort).
  • Arriving by car: take the tunnels until the exit Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort (make sure you have enough small change for your parking fee).
